| Create custom solutions for your ID program With the Datacard® ID Works® Software Developer’s Kit (SDK), you can add new functions to your current configuration — or create a new, fully customized application using components of the ID Works software family. Either way, the ID Works SDK provides the tools you need for fast, easy custom development. • Powerful development platform. ID Works SDK features an open architecture, Microsoft® COM interfaces, and support for Microsoft® Visual Studio.NET 2005. It supports smart cards and encoders. Event handlers can customize printing, database access, data entry fields and the interface. Plus, you can control data validation, production screens pre-population, capture windows and event buttons. • Smart card capabilities. The ID Works SDK enables you to personalize smart cards as part of a secure inline card issuance process. Specifically, a smart card plug-in (proximity) simplifies smart card application management, alerting the smart card application each time a card enters your Datacard card printer’s smart card coupler. • Practical help for developers. The SDK lets you develop extensions to support virtually any card printer, and add card printing functions not supported in Windows® operating systems.
