Datacard® Preface™ ID software delivers all the essential tools you need to design cards, enter data, capture images and print one-color or full-color cards. This user-friendly, entry-level application features an extremely familiar and intuitive interface available in English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese or Korean.

• Fundamental features. Create new card designs or enhance existing sample cards. Add text and color graphics to one or both sides of each card, then modify the font, size, color and justification of text for a personalized look. Bar code and magnetic stripe encoding capabilities come standard.

• Easy to install and learn. Start designing and printing cards in minutes. Installation is a one-step process. The interface uses familiar point-and-click navigation, and includes online help. It also automates certain steps. For example, after cards are designed, the software automatically opens a production window.

• Smooth integration. Preface ID software is compatible with a wide range of card printers from Datacard and other manufacturers. It also integrates smoothly with any TWAIN- or Video for Windows-compatible cameras, scanners and other input devices.
